This is not tipi on the first picture. They are two different things.
Tent in the first images is tipi, indian tent made of buffalo hide or something.
The lattter one is Goahti/Lavvu which are two completely different things from other side of this planet.

Just saying it doesn't have to be a tipi. Many similar structures to choose from.

You probably could not have cupboards in these, but it could be something early settlements could utilize for having study desk, bed, and personal container or two in relative privacy.
