Furniture&Building: Mother of Pearl, Seashells

During my research I have stumbled upon some really nice stuff you could make with the mother of pearl curio (it used to be quite useless earlier this world). You could use it to make the furniture, chests and etc. Something that noobs could trade to bigger guys since factions do not really care about claiming the mother of pearls + they are impossible to palisade.

Mussels, seashells, and petrifies seashells could be used as a roofing material as well.

I'd rather see roof tiles or bark to be used as thatching other than seashells.

Having individual shells as thatching mat wouldn't make sense, since unless they were giant shells I don't think they'd cover the roof all the way lol. Maybe a craft with some goofy name called "SeaShingles" or smth made from tar and shells would work.
