If you get something after studying the same curiosity repeatedly, it should decrease the LP gain...

I think my idea for curiosities should be implemented.
When you study the same thing over and over again, you start to get bonus for studying things that you have not studied in a while.
Effectively this means, that you would have to study variety of curios, instead of grinding the few "good" ones.

I actually don't mind either idea. I think unlocking something after x number of studies could be fun.

I'm fully in support of making studying the same curios over and over again bringing diminishing returns. Also, unlocking something after studying so many of the same kind would also be cool. (As an addition to, not instead of)

What about studying X "Curio Number One" would improve the LP gain from other curios(not the same)? So for each one that you've "mastered" you should be able to improve your learning.

So what you guys are suggesting is we have satiations for curios, too? Why not just nerf certain overused curios slightly, buff a few of the under used ones like a normal game development team? These bullshit addon rules are killing me. If I want to do a lot of math, I'll go create some neural nets or something... or go to work for an insurance company creating actuarial tables.

bad idea

it would hurt nubs because they cannot achieve the variety which large villages can, and these would obviously be able to get any curio if necessary - of course the change would affect them, but that would not make a difference when their enemies would have the same change applied.
at the same time the development of nubs would be heavily slowed

I don't see how it would put nubs at anymore of a disadvantage than they already are... I do feel that a bit more variety would be in order however. Then, with the added mechanic of repetitive studies unlocking things, it could serve to spice up studying quite a bit...
Just my .O2... Taste, drink.., like/hate...
