Gardener credo allows planting marsh-mallow

Postby Dakkan » Tue Apr 03, 2018 5:28 pm

Gardeners can plant bluebells which are a nice curio, marsh-mallow would allow for a nice growable energy food.

I keep feeling as though this might be unbalanced but then I'm forced to compare with farmable bluebells.

Edit: this does detract from true foraging a bit I guess.

Bluebells shouldn't even be plantable tho, or maybe only yield 1 for purposes of q growth. And the marshybois uhhhhhh yea +1

Well if you're the dedicated villager gardener (only farms garden pots) (and I don't know of anyone like this), then bluebells are your way of contributing to village curios I guess.

Are these mallow things ever grown in gardens IRL? I think the post suggesting them talked about how people used to eat them in the wild but I don't remember seeing something about people cultivating them at all.

eta: thread where they were suggested

Looks like they are (at least modern day) grown in gardens for show. Seems almost weedy, so I'm sure it was easily grown throughout history.

Also Googling "Marsh Mallow Farm" gave some great results.
