Put a liking system on the forum, so if you like a post you can upvote it n stuff. Cause why not.

ill tell you why not.

so people actually have to read the post as opposed to mindlessly going with the crowd by looking at its score.

also so people actually have to SAY something if they agree or disagree with it as opposed to making a number go up and down.
Newbie and noob do not mean the same thing.

Neither do figuratively and literally.

Totally agree if synaris. But I would like at least some kind of feature that shows "what devs want us to think". Because, you know, they're only 2 and they have so many things to do by now. But, often, they come with a solution before discussing with us. Maybe if they showed "exactly" where they need more brainstorm it would help them.

Edit: Like the combat rework, they did so many changes but only them could really think about the approachs. I usually like their solutions, but I doubt that some focused discussion would worse their improvements.

I agree, i don't want to see downvotes on all my comments. I don't think my fragile psyche could handle it!
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

This isn't fucking reddit.
“We still, alas, cannot forestall it-
This dreadful ailment's heavy toll;
The spleen is what the English call it,
We call it simply, Russian soul.”

An idea to consider: Tedium, a Feature.

Devs don't want you to think, they want you to buy. J&L are for sure nice persons, much much more than the average you can find on the web, but, talking in general, we all need to know that everything you see on the internet, pretty much, are products that someone want you to spend money on ... not friends and family, this is how it goes nowdays, so better always remember it.

Cons:

I really like that it's difficult (comparatively) to post for "validation" or "that sweet karma" or something like on reddit or wherever. You have to actually go back to judging for yourself whether the content is/was worth posting, maybe even for other reasons than because someone gave you a little digital stroke.

Maybe Pros:

It would be nice for it to be easier for people to just say, "+1". I see it but people don't do it a lot and I haven't seen long chains of "+1". It's also not something devs could sort by easily as easily as upvote-downvote would be. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not that there aren't long chains like this very often.

I also think a lot of players just don't participate in the forums. I've heard lots of game suggestions while in-game that I haven't seen posted here. Upvoting/downvoting is private and impersonal in a way posting isn't, and might make some level of participation easier for more players. Anonymous polls or something could do that too.
