Tree markings

Would be cool to have tree markings, maybe using pigment or charcoal. Possibly useful to organize tree growing or could also have a tactical purpose or just be for scavenger hunts. Might add evene more flavour to trees.

Maybe like this? There is a lot of other examples available online.

bob dole likes it, it would be cool if you could tie a colored string around a tree, to make tree's prettied up. No tree is ever gonna want to date a tree who doesn't even put in the effort to look nice.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Useful for dendrophiles. Good thinking.

i like it, should have less space to write than signs and runestones though. its a use for pigments.

hell, it makes me wonder if its possible to make chalk without modern technology, i should look that up...

Writing on everything?

I wouldn't mind, but I don't see a good generic system for this without spending significantly more time than I think it's ultimately worth.

Just let us right click to pin parchment to it?

i would just say add a blotch of color to the tree. nothing special, just a dot of color. a village could have different colors for diferent meanings... red for chop, green for questgiver, yellow for dont chop...
