ever seen jaws? i wanna see large creatures swimming underneath you in a lake or swimming up a river, or perhaps small creatures, and maybe turtles, but all unattackable, just like an ambiance thing.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Would be a cool event, like the seeing a duck, deer, or stepping onto grass. Some lore popup saying you saw something beneath the surface.

Always +1 for relaxing ambience

Soounds spoopy!
“We still, alas, cannot forestall it-
This dreadful ailment's heavy toll;
The spleen is what the English call it,
We call it simply, Russian soul.”

An idea to consider: Tedium, a Feature.

It would be cool to see the odd dark shadow fading in and out in deep water once in a while

That hand terrified me as a kid.

You're asking for something pretty complex in terms of rendering. Not sure what the purpose is.

I mean... more aquatic enemies could be fine.

Purpose? It's just an XP event and makes the water seem more dynamic, purely visual at this point. I can see that being a deterrent as far as the rendering complexity goes, though. It does play nicely with an idea I had for additional quest givers in the manner of water spirits and dryads, however.
jorb: I don't want *your* money. You are rude and boring. Go away.
Sevenless: We already know real life has some pretty shitty game mechanics, it's why we're here instead.
Avu: The end is near it has finally come to pass: I agree with Lunarius...
Shubla: There are also other reasons to play this game than to maximize your stat gain.
