Remove alt vaulting

Make hearth fires lootable, if character has no hearth fire, he should remain in the place where he logged off!

Maybe add a small buff for new characters which would make their hearthfire not lootable, to prevent bullying of noobs.

In general I like the idea, but there's still nothing to stop someone to make a 6 layer thick brickwall on level 5, several supergrids away from their REAL base, etc. etc.

ends up punish the noobs becuase vets will make literal hearth vaults

Yes there is.
Laziness.
Currently you can create an alt in 2 minutes and you have way to permanently store your valuables so no one can ever touch them in any way (except by stealing that account)

Making 6 layer thick brickwall vault on level 5 supergrids away from their base requires a huge amount of effort. If somebody is ready to go through that. They have well earnt their vault.

In any game, those who have played the game longest, and play the game most, usually have advantages over those who dont play it that much. And I dont think there is anything wrong with that. You cannot really change that.

Setting aside the perhaps main issue of whether this is worse for noobs than for people who'd actually use hearth vaults, there are two secondary problems:

What happens when you destroy someone's hearth fire? Is he then forcibly logged back into the game again? If so, what about if he logged off in a position that is now inside a wall, on deep water, claimed, &c.? Or does that hearth fire scatter all of his inventory, equipment &c as a little piñata for people to bash when wandering around?

How could such a buff work that is not equally useful for alt vaulting?

This. It would make alt vaulting more annoying but never gonna stop it. Maybe only few little people would actually do stop that but those won't matter in the big scale. You can't stop alt vaulting because there's no way to differ a legit char from vault char and etc.

On top of that, bigger players have usually more than 1 place, so why not have character in 1 base, hearth in second base and just in case of danger change spot of one? + 3rd vault wouldn't be a problem.

It's punishing to maintain and evolve a HH base, knowing you can loot even inventory will make it too harsh. When free building system is available, people will put even more work on their fragile bases.

Inventory safety is a nice thing for noobs and pros.

With quality, =< than 10, items would not be lootable ... just fix minor issues with gold and some stuff, make all the qualities in the game meaningfull to their tier so that the system can be used for different purposes, like this one.

No solid idea about hf/destroying it and so on ...

While the initial suggestion sounds reasonable on paper the practical impact would be devastating. People would log in with a stripped character, without prior knowledge of them being under attack, then be slaughtered. Factions would have more 'fun' because they not only could completely destroy the industry of targets villages but also, through looting any quality stuff from the characters, any means to rebuild it within a reasonable timespan (as they could start again at q10 for trees and crops).

No, thank you, this game already favors asshole characters enough.

At least it would be more difficult to do this.

I think with criminal debuffs and all, the buff would not be even needed though.
