Grow Bay Boletes etc

As the title suggests, it'd be nice to be able to grow more things in gardeners pots too to help with the lineup in food crafting like Lingon Berries, Yellowfeet, Bay Boletes

I'm going to note this has been discussed pretty extensively in other threads. Multiple items have been brought up, all end up at the same arguments of foraging vs gardening.

Link to a search with several of the threads: search.php?st=0&sk=t&sd=d&sr=posts&keywords=forag%2A+garden%2A&fid%5B%5D=48 Not all those threads may be about the subject, and it may not include all threads on the subject.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

I was thinking that with the new object controlled object system, it'd be a cool system to allow inoculating tree planter's pots with mycorrhizal fungi such as the boletes. Then the tree has a chance to spawn mushrooms near them as they grow.

Don't want to nerf foraging more.

So use it to boost foragings relevance instead.

Start with:
Now that stumps decay, you can plant a tree, grow it, chop it, and let it rot down to a 'Mirkwood Stump'.

When foraging you will occasionally locate "Spore Laden <mushrooms>" that can be used as a normal item of its type, or:

In wild stumps, you'll occasionally have "Mychorizzal Blooms' spawn. These harvest Q on these is capped by survival as normal.

Mychorizzal Blooms can be combined with compost or soil to create 'Mychorizzal Soil', which in turn can be used on Mirkwood stumps to create 'Mushroom Beds', which can be used to plant 'Spore-Laden Mushrooms'.

Spore laden mushrooms will grow one crop of mushrooms (as per gardening) but will not produce any spore-laden mushrooms. The Q of the mushrooms produced is the balance of the Mychorizzal Soil, the Spore Laden Mushroom, and the Q of the Mirkwood stump.

Upon harvest the stumps will return to 'Mirkwood Stumps' and require another application of Mychorizzal Soil to be able to plant spore-laden mushrooms again.

This allows a source of very High Q forageable mushrooms, continues to keep foraging relevant, and gives a new use for the Mirkwood stump mechanic.
jorb: I don't want *your* money. You are rude and boring. Go away.
Sevenless: We already know real life has some pretty shitty game mechanics, it's why we're here instead.
Avu: The end is near it has finally come to pass: I agree with Lunarius...
Shubla: There are also other reasons to play this game than to maximize your stat gain.

Then why not make more medical herbs that can be only foraged (almost all) and make almost everything non medical related into plantable totally?

Because a hard dichotomy like that makes no sense to me?

Well, can't argue with that.
