toggle combat mode

Postby ctopolon3 » Tue Apr 17, 2018 12:38 pm

i know that i have alot oppenings & cant remove them without combat.
i cant start combat near mob because they will hit me immediately, and i'll have cd timer to remove my oppenings

would be nice if i could stop the fight only via icon, or toggle to combat mode.
to prepare my self to next enemy, use some restoration moves.

The cooldown was added to nerf gank attacks a bit. Maybe it can be changed so that attacks vs animals don't have a cooldown for combat initiation.

Alternatively, I don't see animals having an initiation cooldown. Maybe they should get one.

A way to remove lingering openings would be good. It's one of the things I don't like about the current combat system, especially when I'm trying to clear bats or slimes out of my mining area. (I'm weak. I can't just aggro all and aoe them away.) I don't think they should just disappear after a fight (ways to abuse this in PvP).

A person could get rid of them by aggroing a rabbit or such, but that assumes one is nearby. Additionally, small animals immediately run, so you only get a few actions to remove openings. This isn't an ideal way to do it, especially if you are pressed and have to start combat again relatively quickly such as being chased, but don't have the time to hearth without allowing opponent to re-engage in combat.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.
