How can you have a use for something that melts? Apart from crafting something straightaway. I'd say before implementing more uses for the snow, the devs should give the players the ability to store it. Similar to silkmoth cocoons that are killable.

Need a pick and some sort of saw to cut 2*3 blocks of ice out of a snowy area from the ground, igloo requires saw 30 blocks of ice, some rocks and some boards for a door and a built in internal fire or whatever. Sounds cool.

They should only be buildable in snowy biomes where they couldn't melt. In addition to that, ice should count as stone there so we could build pretty ice towers.
