leather fabric clothes

we don't have enough uses for leather fabric to justify its existence. let us make shirts pants and robes out of leather fabric.

can anyone even give an example as to why you would use leather fabric instead of linen or hemp? the addition of leather is almost guaranteed to drop the quality of the end product.

I always was thinking of leather fabric being superior to hemp.

Leather is finer quality than hemp. Only poor people and monks wear hemp... they make canvas out of hemp (used to, that is, as it was tougher than cotton).

Question: what should the affinities be?

Would be nice to see it used in some other gear (other than as "any cloth") and crafts, too...
