multiple quest displayed

Postby Dudesoe » Tue May 22, 2018 1:31 am

Hi,
i might be just relatively dumb and don't know if you can display the waypoints of multiple quest at the same time, but I'd like for this feature to be implemented if it is not. It'd be an entire shame if i ran past quest giving trees in a general direction because I was focusing on one quest, rather than all of those in that direction.

would be nice to see active (in quests) questgivers on map to make a route
or just link from quest description to questgiver on map, and back

It would IMHO be enough to, additional to the main quest you have selected, show the closest interactable quest giver as a target of opportunity.

As much as Id love to have that it would give a new information we're not supposed to have.
With the rights roads , how far a new quest is.
Yes you can already triangulate with roads but it would be an additional information.

But again , yeah , I'd love to have that :p

I ment an additional directional marker, not the distance to it.

I know , it still gives you an indication of how far it is , approximatively , obviously.

edit : to make it clear.
once you introduce "closest" you introduce distance.
You can easily manipulate that to know if it's a distance you're willing to travel or not.

But eh .. again .. i'd like that :P

TBH I would already be happy if the interface would have a button to select the quest with the closest interactable questgiver, so I could spend my time on traveling to it instead of clicking through the active quests to locate the next one.

There's a lot of ways the quest UI could be improved. But any time UI is mentioned, the custom client makers have to perform a human sacrifice to add it.

It would make it trivial to find closest NPC, not to say You remember closest one after doing a bunch of quests.

I would rather have to be able to select up to 5 quests, where I see markers to all of those 5 just in a different color like green, blue, red, purple, yellow. With such rainbow markers, I could be easly to deduce while exploring / travel, which one is closest of currently tracked ones.

edit: + clicking on a marker would quickly bring up it tasks (a fast switch between 5 ones)
