Bring back old crop mechanics

The new system that came with the new patch is unclear, artificial, and too convoluted. Ppl who botted - will be botting; all the rest change are unclear and hardly can be called benefits.

To clarify what it does is that it adds a buffer so botting isn’t completely needed to maintain highest crop q anymore. This is a good thing for people who do not use bots. From my understanding of the post so far, the idea is if you harvest a piece of flax after it has been sitting in completed stage for 3 hours then when you replant a new piece of flax on same tile it’s growth will be sped up by 3 hours.

So ideally you don’t have to log in exactly every x many hours to maintain the highest crop quality which aka so you don’t loose time where a bot can run 24/7 and never loose time since it never has to sleep or work irl. And so even if you miss a day, this buffer will allow you to not lose farming time because of that either.

@ LostJustice .. hey, thanks for that simple explanation. :)

Can you also explain why 'rose' gold is orange? :P :D

Yeah except it can be exploited to death by the same bots lol ...
but they're aware of that and will remake the mechanics.

Also , if you remove any incentive to do things efficiently and I only need to harvest before a 3 days time period , I might aswel bot that shit.
no rewards for doing things right , no brain involved = perfect job for a bot.

Hmmm..... :) You waiting and "buffered" 3hrs and then then next crop will grow faster by 3 hrs... OK, let's do some math: +3(waiting)hrs - 3(speed_up)hrs = 0(bonus) hrs. Where is that silver lining in 0 hrs benefit ? :D :?

.. are you serious? you can't be that dumb.

it allows players who DO NOT HARVEST AND REPLANT CROPS THE SECOND THEY ARE READY FOR HARVEST, TO KEEP UP WITH THOSE WHO DO.

it evens the playing field between botters and normal players. it wasnt meant to give us faster growth in general.

my problem with it, is that its unrealistic. or should i say, unbelievable....

Why exactly do you feel entitled to call someone stupid when you don't understand yourself ?
I'm in a good mood , read the patch note and Jorb comment page 4 or 5 ..
*sigh*

That’s the point you are missing. Old math was 3 hour + 0 = 3 hours lost time to grow crops and gain quality. This by no means benefit botters. In fact it probably changes nothing other than giving players the ability to compete with them now in a clever systematic approach for those who try to hand grow. If you want some actual comparison, the owners of Community Fair and the village I am apart of now managed to be only 70ish q behind a leading q botted farm where the botter farm had already started 50q higher. Meaning over 14 months they lost 20q due to times they could not be on or the fact they missed up to 15 minutes at rare intervals. This patch completely removed that problem. The benefit is there is no loss due to minimum time planting.
