New born animals indicate.

Make newborn animals indicated by bloody texture for 1-2 days.
It will be very convenient to distinguish newborns from other young animals

people like to forget how bloody and ugly childbirth is.
Newbie and noob do not mean the same thing.

Neither do figuratively and literally.

We generally need some option to visually mark domesticated animals, more then one will be great. Also old suggestion of difference of milkable females.

Visibly different udders for non-lactating and lactating cows would be neat.

I always just sequester the pregnant cows into their own pens large enough to catch a cow from the (now non-existent?) vagina cannon.

Vagina cannon is not a thing anymore I think Ye.
I've got 25 different fences , for breeding purpose , moving pregnant cow is not an option , being able to distinguish newborn to kids would be a life changer indeed.

My understanding is that it isn't, either, but I think I've seen it pop up every once in a while due to some odd condition like overcrowding. Maybe the cow is on a fence just right or something that when the calf drops, it's blocked by an object other than its mother. This is why I still sequester expecting cows. Not only that, it's easier to sort future breeding stock and food.

I definitely like the idea.
