Road Network Rework

So this post got me thinking. What if instead of the linear roads we have today, roads where simply a network.

In this case anyone would be able to build a new Road teleportation point (we can still have the normal posts going between these teleportation points), and if you build one near exsisting roads you would be able to teleport along them.

To further add to the network system and not just linear roads, a minimap with all the roads teleportation points would show as you choose travel and you would choose your destination from there.

Hopefully some one understands what I'm trying to explain here (early morning).

How do you guys think this would impact the game?

Would be cool. Would make road building slightly less tedious, and new players wouldn't get rimmed for building in the middle of roads as often.
