Wood

I really want to be able to pave with wood to dress up my village. Used on level places it could make a boardwalk. Used on very steep paces it would appear as a wooden embankment like the retaining walls people make out of railroad ties. Of course, it would decay faster than stone. It could also be laid in marshes but there it would decay in a matter of days and need constant repair. Cedar and Larch would last a little longer in marshes than any other woods, but they would all disappear completely if you weren't logged on for a month.

Add some southern European trees with some nerf coding, so that you can grow them, but they are harder to germinate and sometimes drop all their branches, or worse with two decay ticks, die on you for no perceptible reason. That's because they don't flourish in our northern Haven climate.

Yea I like this idea. Especially for paving. A search brought up it's suggestion a few months back here. I didn't search back any further than there.

Paving is a little stupid idea for doing it with wood, it will decay pretty fast that way.
I think "board paving" must be like wooden floor, like open veranda, that will allow to create flat level with boards with the price of board depends on level delta.

Sub-optimal and stupid are different. Wood is used for paving stones in all kinds of situations, gardening in particular. I agree that giving it a very short decay cycle is correct, however. There's a lot of situations where it would be very aesthetically pleasing, though. +1 to this idea in general.
