Credo suggestion: Charcoal burner

Postby tigerlrg245 » Mon Jul 09, 2018 6:56 am

So I've been playing an unhealthy amount of kingdom come: deliverance, and there are a bunch of nice fellows here sitting in the woods next to a river making charcoal in their charcoal kilns
From the game:

How about a credo that requires lumberjack and boosts charcoal / tar quality?

Perhaps unlocks a better tar kiln, maybe one that includes some metal (steel)? Maybe just the chimney, so it still needs stone and clay?

Coaling is very small gameplay part to create different credo imo :?

You don't think there's value to fuel and tar q? I see potential for a more varied market
Or do you mean running tar kilns is a bit too repetitive/boring?

Nothing in Haven is repetitive, what are you on about.

In any way, coaling requires ~20 mins for chopping trees and blocks, few seconds to fill tar kilns, and ~ 1 minute to collect coal after it's done.
It will produce only 2 type resources, coal and tar.
Do you really think that such a small game process require it's own credo?

In other way it can be made complex with tree grower credo, that will embrace tree growing, and coaling too.

pearl gathering also not huge part of gameplay, but it has credo
im too for more userful credos (cooking, animal management, rare resource collector, builder, roads maker, merchant)

maybe a perk of the credo could give like a 50% increase in the charcoal or tar quality maybe both

I'm kind of torn. On one hand, it is a very small aspect of gameplay. But so is pearl diving. So I can understand why it might be added. Plus you could do a bit with it, like decreasing the amount of tar needed for tar sticks or just increasing the amount of tar and coal you get from tar kilns.
