show base FEPs in result

its so fucking simple i can't believe no one has suggested it yet. it just hit me.

when we click on something to craft, it shows an image of the "result" we should be able to hover our mouse over that and see all of the base feps we'd get at q10. that way we wouldnt need bigass lists to memorize the crazyass FEP system. it would show the differences added from different ingredients.

And how would it display all the different feps? There are recipes that have over 40 varieties.

Maybe just show the currently selected ingredients? (Maybe once you've discovered the specific combo... not sure it'd be worth it to track on the server.)

Maybe some way for the hearthlings to "learn" what specific ingredients do to a recipe over time/repetition. Of course, this would probably just lead to gaming the system either by just spamming a recipe until something pops and it all ending up on the wiki over time.

it wouldnt display ALL of the different feps. it would display the ones you're getting with the ingredients your using.

its already all on the wiki anyway, and what does the server have to track? whats the point of us DOWNLOADING a game client if we're not cutting down on load times by accessing simple shit like a list of FEPs from the PC.

Server would potentially need to track what ingredients you know just like it tracks what you've discovered for recipe unlocks. And point would be so a person doesn't have to look at the wiki, it'd be in game and readily at hand. Plus, the problem is that the recipes are on the wiki, and attributes are base for the food (generic ingredients) when there are variable ingredients. There are also spreadsheets with a lot of entries for different foods, too, but that doesn't put the information at the fingertips of the players.

Kind of thought that was the point of this thread: make the FEP system easier to understand. To me, that would include both eating information as well as preparation. If I'm hijacking your thread, I apologize.
