Expeditions (aka mini new worlds)

I think I saw from time to time topic like this (or lone posts in other topics), but some time ago we discussed it on discord with several players, I hoped one of them would make such thread but meh, seems I can do that.

1. From time to time, an global event happens (similar to end of the w9 one) that grants all currently existing characters +500exp (new ones after don't), announcing that new world is temporariry available (1-5 weeks?)

2. Wew types of metals like mythril etc. can happen, some tropical animals, maybe cosmetic changes to buildings (blueprints), special type of rock, clay or wood, You get the idea

3. Only realms can build special porticos that must be on unclaimed land but on realm territory, character upon entering is moved back to hearthfire while quick creation of new one for special land appears. It gets pernament einherjar buff for the remaining of mini world.

4. All characters are lost when world expires. If items / containers weren't transfered back to old world, those are lost as well. To make it worse, no KO mechanic inside mini world?

5. Method of transportation could be something similar to barter stands. Unless we want people to suffer, then only by wagons both ways.

So generally give factions a reason to fight for stuff like better materials for better weapons and etc. etc. giving small ones also possibility for some scraps.


In short: realm teleports to temporary new world with rare/new resources to collect until the new world "collapse". Only one character per account can participate. After certain time, everything that belongs to the other world is deleted, anything that was brought over stays. The character made on the other side gets like 25% stats of the one that was used on portal.

Reason why there should be separate two chars: it would be unfair to lose your char in new world because for whatever reason You couldn't exit pocket dimension on time or leave kingdoms capitals without protection.

Actualy not new idea, Salem have same mechanic - every critical changes or updates going in new world, but after some checkpoint this world just mergin to old.

So many people have talked about this there is a treasure grove of info out there.
From small to large scale zones.

Infact at the start of this world people thought it was several in one.

I'm all for the idea. Of portals that lead to other worlds. But I dont think it should be reserved for big factions.

Sounds like an unnecessary hassle.
HnH is in alpha.
Why not experiment with the real world?
Playerbase is not enough for 2 servers anyway.

I don't mean for it to be a big factions restricted, rather kingdoms being an way of entrance. That's why I wanted it to be on unclaimed land so anyone really can enter, leaving just some options to make a slight difference which one to pick for smaller groups or somethin.

2 serves? I can see why someone can see it like this, but this is rather a temporary world which shouldn't last longer than a month and less than a week on top of that it requires a character to exist, to be able to enter there. Hnh is alpha, why not experiment with that?
