What if... Energy would cap how much we can eat...

This game is somewhat unbalanced because you can increase your stats as much as you want as long you produce the food, because your stomach is a black hole.
So what happens if we make so you cant eat past your maximum energy bar? Like the character is saying he is not hungry if he reach 10.000 energy and you try to feed him more.

This would make it harder for people who are using bots, to feed their 20 extra characters, because to lose energy they need to work, use stamina, drink water and lose energy.
So this should not effect too much on active player, sure the development of characters will slow down immensely, but if that happens to everyone it is fair.
This will also make a lot more people want do more energy draining work, so they can develop their character, making them more cooperative when it comes to bothersome chores.
People would also think more what stats they want and what food they will eat.

But implanting that now would be pretty bad, sins the top characters will never be beaten and unfair for any newcomer.
But if there is a next world, it would be great

Sadly people will use more alts and bots working no stop to make sure their char will be always hungry.
Make friends with the other crabs or try to escape the bucket.

That's literally just legacy eating system. No thanks.

Yeah what you suggested is like Leagcy's system. You'll have people drinking water and hand plowing fields to reduce their energy.

More realistically, feasting should not make the hunger meter irrelevant.

Just to note for the first poster: people just made "hunger bots" to burn off energy so they could eat more.

Get rid of that those bonus, too, and scale the penalties for overeating down some since we have the satiations now. If anything, feasting might give a bit more of an FEP bonus so there is something to shoot for mid to late game to help develop characters to offset the loss of "no hunger fill."
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

First: Hunger bar should be renamed appetite.
In case there really needs to be a way to artificially increase it (toward 300%, instead of letting it build over time) it should be the combination of a feather, a bucket and a nasty wound from shoving that feather down the troat (and the gastric acid and what else is in there going the opposit way, leaving you with a bucket partly filled with swill) to deter users from too many repetitions. Further that action should partly ruin the appetite of characters experiencing that particular kind of decadence.

Which are completely irrelevant as soon as you have all drinks to negate them. I still think that tracking the last thousand (or so) appetite affecting items (that includes drinks) consumed to calculate what a character craves (as it's a rare food) and what he despises (from having it every sitting) would work better. Same goes for curiosities btw.

Also salt needs a change, it should be applied to food (like with pepper: quern to get fine salt to fill into the shaker to apply it onto individual food items) to only slightly reduce the appetite reduction (instead of quicky moving appetite toward 300% when eaten directly). Salt eaten should also increase thirst (=quicker energy drain) for a while, eat too much in a given timeframe and you'll end up with high blood pressure (a wound that gives a slight chance for a stroke, to deter from salting everything).

runstarve.pbot

The only way to limit eating is to limit it, based on time, and of course, no way to decrease the limitation.

Pretty much that.
