More utility gear, a review on Credo buffs:

Postby DanteThanatos » Thu Aug 09, 2018 5:47 pm

Since we got the +Swimming gear (Beaver and Walrus equipment) I thought about other utility gear:
Also I didnt mean tools, I meant clothing.

A few examples

Logging gear: Speed in felling trees.
Butchering gear: Slight chance of more meat? Butchering speed?( Cleaver ik ik)
Builder gear: Less stamina or faster building.
Runner gear: I don't meaning more speed just less stamina spent.(Might be problematic ofc)
Rock climbing: Faster ridge climb, same as the Strider credo but weaker.(Lynx claw gloves could do that)
Gemcutter: Improved chances on gemcutting. Also Gemcutter Goggles 1R Slot accessory please =D. (Small for balance issues)
Blacksmith: Apron, chance of wrought iron perhaps, protection from "Smithing accident" future wound I imagine will eventually appear.
Farmer? Fishing? Tailoring? etc etc...
Pickaxe already got mining gear covered hehehe

You know, most stuff we do.

Credo buffs should obviously be stronger than the equipment buffs.
Buffs shouldn't scale with quality, cause qSpiral.
All this would stack with the convenience buff ofc.

I should point that these buffs do sound similar to the credo buffs, but since I think credos will suffer a rework I leave these ideas for future consideration.
I should also point that I know the gilding system was implemented and turned clothing options mostly to personal taste, gilding chances matter but gilding song also exist.
That beign said I know these buffs would turn specific clothing back into beign a must have to some tasks, but I think as these buffs would be small

I will edit this post a little bit more later since I didn't have enough time to put all the "ideas" down on paper yet, mind still buzzing.

Also a link to and old post of mine for consideration again:
Localized wound and Scars:
viewtopic.php?f=48&t=47878
I know scars have been a topic for a long time and the last thing I thought about was instead of losing permanent HHP, just keep the scar log(what caused it and whatnot) and a new healing salve to clear scars ppl didnt want to keep. That way they can keep the awesome scars and get rid of the lame ones(Ant scars from newb days). That or Constitution damage hehehe
Thanks for the awesome game Jorb & Loftar o/
If I could I would heal and help people, but in this realm I can't...Wait...elixirs? *Dons Plague Doctor mask*

It's already annoying having to swap your crafter's gear whenever you need to make something different. At least if I study/eat enough I don't have to wear the gear. With this stuff it just becomes "need to chop trees? put on tree chopping gear" for every little task, no matter what.

No thanks.

Yeah, i agree with this. This would only make every job more tedious, since it will become pretty much mandatory to wear a full set of the clothes, especially since quality would have no effect and therefor anybody can make it. Every property would have three log cabins dedicated to just being filled with wardrobes.
Total misplay.

Mandatory because of the competitive side of the factions? Hmm considering that I might agree with you both.

switch dress from cook to miner is normal, but here is mostly switch characters/accounts(easy to parallel LP than get all 1000 at one char).
also someone likes his look and dont wanna more profit in case of bad look (and vice versa someone dont wear any robe other than merchant robe)
if any dress could been adjustable look.....
also more tools needs more belts (which will be nerfed soon)
but more bonuses always good
