Make level 5 great again!

Make level 5 great again!

Nobody mines on level 5 because there's more slimes and the same ores you can find on level 3 and 4. Can we get a level 5 exclusive ore?

Hmmm... I mine only on 5 and a bit on 4th. No problem. Yes - slime is annoying, but lick your wounds and just do it.

But why? You'd get the same thing mining on 3 and 4.

Qualities are higher on level 5. I mean, yes, there's overlap, but you'll only find the highest qualities on level 5.

FYI, basically nobody cares about ore quality.

Maybe so, but it's a reason. Or perhaps, rather, that's the real problem here.

I would concur, we mine on 3-4 because there are less slimes, same ore quantity. Reverting the maneuver change did wonders for dealing with slimes again btw, thanks.

Way better gem spawns on level 5 though. But also for local availability based on the age of the world I've been looking at other level now too.

But slimes have nothing to do with that decision.

FMI, what is the main reason that you don't care about ore quality? Is it because potter's clay has elevated smelters so much?

Not necessarily, there's just a small sorta insignificant difference between smelting q10 ore and q150 ore. Most of the difference is made up with spiraling. I guess it matters for metals that can't spiral, but high q smelters and fuel make that sort of a moot point. But I can't say I've ever thought to myself "I need high Q copper, better go spend time on L5." I think you've just successfully made mining on deeper levels so punishing that the community is deciding not to play your reindeer games anymore and just go towards the surface so it's easier.
