Let us use stunning in PvE, with shield or other weapon.

Wouldn't that simplify things too much...?

I'd be in favor of stuns if there were a few requirements

1st - 2 stun types should be added, one of green and yellow, the other for red and blue. This would add to the skill of anticipating what your opponent will do next, rather than having one blanket counter-attack move.

2nd - Stun will only be effective if the opponent is already over say 50% opening, and if you've blocked the correct incoming attack type

So for example, say the opponent is at 60% green and is hitting you with red consistently. You could put up a red-blue counter-attack/shield bash before his next attack to either block the attack and deal back a bit of dmg outright, or to block the attack and stun the attacker.

I'm not a huge fan of stuns, but if there's some timing and pre-requisites involved which would make their likelyhood more predictable then they might be able to be added in some form
