While this is true, I don't see why anybody would dislike that... For me personally, the only thing it would change is I'd no longer so heavily rely on the underground, and especially underground rivers for crafting stations. I could make my linen in a house !
If the reason for these objects to not be constructable in houses is immersion, I'd argue:
1) The people who wouldn't like this wouldn't see it, and the people who do it wouldn't be at any kind of large advantage;
2) There are other far more immersion breaking things that nobody seems to care about (EX: keeping all of your lifestock on one tile inside a house, goods teleportion based logistics networks, etc).
If the reason against it is it'd reduce production inefficiency, I'd point out:
1) The only industry it'd have any effect on is cheese(barter stands), and the difference would be small - just allow for prettier layouts to still be efficient;
2) Anything else that would gain any kind of production boost could simply be placed underground with the same access to all of this industry;
3) It doesn't matter anyway because bots.
But perhaps there's a big, obvious reason why it'd be bad that I'm missing. It tends to be the case my mind is changed whenever J&L post disagreeing with a suggestion/critique

Oh, yeah, and pretty things are cool I guess
