Alebrijes and Curio Combination

Postby Swordfire » Fri Oct 05, 2018 6:32 pm

So while cleaning I noticed lots of bone piles full of mediocre animal Curio's Bear teeth for example which take 30 hours to study and give low amounts of lp (Even at High Quality)

This is pretty common among animal part's long study time for low LP (Moose Antler's are terrible being 2x2 slots)

So since it's October and Day of the Dead is coming I figured what if we could craft the Alebrijes from that Disney movie https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alebrije

Image

The curiosity could be carved out of a wood block, crafted from clay or smithed from Tin (with a little Paint)

It should give very little lp by itself and be 2x2 slot's big but would allow animal curiosity's to be attached to it similar to gilding (5 attachments Max and must be different curiosity's)

The Alebrije itself should act as a softcap for any other Curio attached but should always maintain the same study time

Since were talking about combining curiosity's why not allow certain item's to be enhanced
For Example:

1) Flower Bouquets should allow other flower curiosity's to be attached
2) Ant Farms should allow more ant's to be added
3) Feather Sunfeather should allow more feather curio's to be added
4) New Item "Easter Basket" to add Easter eggs
5) Fossil Collection could allow more fossil's or strange crystals added

Sorry if i'm rambling on
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!

Compared to average C&I curio proposal this one is not that bad.
Making the process of crafting curio(s) modular and sort of mini-game-ish is one way to attemt to make them distinct from others. However there is a problem in that all of possible configuratons, except the most complete one, will most probably end up unrequired. And that be functionally equivalent to your usual assorted style curios.
