Quest rewards for long distance quests

I just travelled from the very north of the map (-37, -121) to the very south (9,122) only to increase local bolete quality by 2 when i could potentially have gotten millions of LP, surely this kind of stuff should scale?
Quest rewards should at least be less black and white in terms of good/bad rewards.

I see what you mean but you could get the same reward for a simple greet quest nearby, not a cross-map journey.

This is a part of being lucky. Also, in greet it would be probably +1 not +2 at best.
I can relate to get small XP / LP gain with high charisma from long travel vs short travel. It happens rarely but still can and might eventually happen so yeah.

I forage whatever I happen to need for cooking/crafting while I head to a quest objective and if my inventory fills before I get there I abandon the quest.

Correct, the millions of LP you can currently get from having inflated charisma need to be reduced to a sane level.
