Permadeath

Now that we see that permadeath was influencing player count insignificantly, add it back as it was before since it makes the game more interesting...

While I can't agree that it has been influencing player count one way or the other (nor do I have the data to disagree) I do feel that this new fluffy version of Permadeath hasn't done the game any favors. Bring back the cold, hard edge of death and nerf the shit out of the amount of XP/LP/Etc you get back when you inherit.

I disagree. The arguments have been that removing permadeath would collapse the player base, as this didn't happen there's no point in bringing it back.

"Collapsing the playerbase" is not the only valid concern that comes from removing permadeath. I continue playing this game because it has a lot to offer that other games just can't match. Permadeath in the way it was implemented here was one of the things that drew me, and it's removal is one of the things that makes me fear for the future of the game.

Not it's success, mind you, but the path it's taking. The Hearthlands should be merciless.

Permadeath was never removed, it was just heavly harder to get killed in the first place. Secondly, at new world, I imagine people struggling for dungeons and stuff where permadeath is only way of escaping mind You. Leave it, for now.

I think the system is better than before. It's more interesting to succumb to wounds over time and needing a long time to rest and recuperate, than dying every time you fight. Though, it's very easy to kill people. Just drop all their defenses and then cleave them for 5000 instantly ending them no matter what their hp was.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

No shit smartass, I obviously know You want to bring it back, but I wanted to say, it's too hard for You to understand, to hold on with this. World is old enough, people speak that after NK fall, there's not so much conflict, still from time to time miners manage to die, ambushes in dungeon happens where You die as well.

Another point is that we, as the community, don't have that much new blood flowing in, in the future sure but now we grow older, we have less time, permadeath is more and more very un-fun compared how it was years ago.

Also I would rather focus on places, where You enter and risk permadeath than rather have it back everywhere. I like how it is now that only dungeons fight end on 100% death if it happens. If more dungeons happens with more valueable gilds or consumables, new world will be a one heck a fight to stay on the top, especially how much now acient tooth gives, will be highly revelant in new world.

Also, if permadeath comes back how it was in old days, I vote for it to be a permadeath from it's name. No ancestor stat, LP or whatever else comes with it.

Also 2 players can manage to kill 1 player if timed correctly.

who do you wanna kill dafels? all the OG's quit a while ago. only low hp nubs are left which arent hard to kill.

bring permadeath back next world. the risk of losing your character is whats fun in this game.
see homo sexuality trending,. do not do that.
