Nice idea. Should stop them from growing/reproducing though, else they might be used as cupboard compatible replacements for coops/hutches.

or make so they eat from buckets in the cupboard, so you can leave a bucket of water and swill in there and prolong their life.
dumb thing is if someone buys the buckets.
