I dont really like the idea. We already have bear cape, how would slippers work from such a large animal?

He wants to take their paws and literally make slippers out of them. I would rather they be called boots or something more in tune with the game.

Well if you are running away from PVP... aggro a bear, it would be a strategic move, that can bite you in the ass as well.

Bears do nothing if you have big stats. It could be used for chasing people as well.
