Prince Rupert's drop curiosity

Prince Rupert's drops (also known as Dutch or Batavian tears) are toughened glass beads created by dripping molten glass into cold water, which causes it to solidify into a tadpole-shaped droplet with a long, thin tail. These droplets are characterized internally by very high residual stresses, which give rise to counter-intuitive properties, such as the ability to withstand a blow from a hammer or a bullet on the bulbous end without breaking, while exhibiting explosive disintegration if the tail end is even slightly damaged. In nature, similar structures are produced under certain conditions in volcanic lava.

Not really an argument for or against them here given the same basic systems in play.

I'd like to see more use for glass myself, but my intuition says it's going to be another bland curio that's too difficult to make. That the tiny abacus sees so much use says something about the metal qualities we have this world.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Even metal curios that are made at the crucible have been pretty bad all world, like the bronze steed and tin soldier. limited by sand and water, this curio would probably not see any use after the first month or so of gameplay.

Now, if crucible quality contributed to recipes...

Should be implemented.

Have considered, wouldn't necessarily mind. If anything, I don't like curios that are made from one simple thing much. Would be nice if it required something else apart from glass.

Could use some metal to make a cool stand for it.
