Buckets could hold many other things as well, berries for example.

I posted this question to jorb a while back... issue is converting certain items to "fluid" style measurements similar to flour, water, etc a while back. They'd be great for harvesting grapes, peas, and a lot of other crops, too.

Only "issue" in this is laziness to implement a such system.
Right click bucket with grapes, it will say something like "this bucket contains 1 grape-cluster"
then right click bucket again, and you will get grapes as an item.
And decide some arbitrary values that buckets can hold.
