Quality System

What about replacing current quality numbers with colours or something that takes into consideration a wider range of those numbers?
Lets say the classic MMORPG system, common, uncommon, rare, exceptional, epic, legendary ... or colours, or a new Jorb/HnH style scale.
Numbers would be still there as it is right now, only difference you won't see them, you can just guess the gap it's in based on rarity of the item you have, lets say epic = quality 100 till 200 and so on.
It's not a bad thing to meditate about ... idk if there is a way to not send numbers to the client, but I hope so.

Nahhh ... it depends how it's implemented, you could just add a top rarity class ... such as top notch legendary 5 stars dragon's envy or similiar that is actually impossible to achieve, just don't tell about the last part.

I see a lot of reasons for that, mainly about the design aspect, also numbers are horrible tbh.

Also I forgot to say that the scales may be more than one, just saying .... maybe a food can be exquisite, while a sword legendary and so on.

so basically make the slow quality creeping of farming, the node hunting of just about every resource, the q spiraling of metal and other things completely and utterly useless?

No, why? quality system would be the same, if not even improved, you just won't be able to see incrmental of 0.1- 1 or similiar, but just a new, well pondered, scale, such as rare, epic, etc...

What's the point of this other than adding colors onto arbitrary BS? Even in that game that introduced all these colors, they mean nothing.

Also: moved to C&I.
