Paper stockpile/furniture

It would be nice if we could make a piece of furniture similar to the wine rack for storing raw paper, as well as scholarly accounts and written pages.




Alternatively a stockpile for raw paper would be fine too, but I always like new furniture to spice up the world.

Searched the forum for "scroll," "paper storage," and "paper stockpile," didn't see anything about this suggested.

Thought it was dumb at first, but it would be pretty neat. We need an update that focuses purely on expanding storage options for various things. Cupboards wouldn't need to be so good if there were more specialized ways to store things other than a 'pile on the floor'. Barrel racks, piles for full size logs, general purpose shelves (standalone and wall attached), tool racks / hooks and possibly endless others. Its a slippery slope I suppose, but some would be pretty nice to have.

You missed a search term... an obvious storage medium for paper, at that: book.

Scroll racks would be awesome, though.

"Okay, need to store this paper destined for single page uses, let me bind it into a book and then still need to store the book, only to later rip it apart for pages."

Books don't seem right for paper/scroll storage.

Would it be hard to put a drawer in the curio desk? Bit LARPy but also it does save some space too.

hehe... Book binding is a lost art. This was quite frequently how some books were put together--a few random pages here, a few more there.
