Cattails fibers

In survival it's easy both to light fires with cattails and make fibers with them. I think that using them for fibers to make some very basic clothing could be interesting, like a hat, cape, shirt and pants, and maybe some rattan funiture like a rug for example, as now with the nettle burns low level toons have little clothing to use: the fact that nettles seems to do zero damage once you get a pair of gloves is weird at best, as when you have leather, nettles start to be of little use...
