Tier based credos.

Postby replikant8 » Sat Dec 22, 2018 5:02 pm

It has already been suggested by other players but it's important so I'll say it again. Tier based credos is the only acceptable way of having them.

While I don't agree with you on tying credos to specific characters doing specific things, I can kind of understand that but right now you implement new credos that may or may not be obligatory to someone

Scholar is the best example. If I knew we're gonna have something like scholar in the game I wouldn't pursue lots of other credos, leaving myself with 24 quests on the gardener... I honestly didn't think I'd ever need to do it on my main.

I get it you probably will do something about it in the new world but honestly we need it now...

Implementantion is your choice but I believe any form of it will be better than the current one and certainly more fair than creating a new character & consistently suiciding it in order to get 2 quests per level forever...

From what I gathered, most of the players share my opinion. Please, consider doing something about it after Christmas holidays.

I've said it before as well, it makes no sense that it gets perpetually harder to learn to become a fisherman just because you know how to do other things.

Are you suggesting a set number of quests by the tier of the credo instead of how many credos you've completed? If so I'm all for it.

I wouldn't even mind keeping it this way but doing away with the quest reduction on death. The effects of the current implementation is very weird.

ill give my plus one since this is logical , but last time i suggested to jorb and loftar on a stream they said "that would make them easier!" /facepalm. To be frank credo tiers is the most LOGICAL option as it doesn't penalize players and turns fun of doing a credo to get a reward instead of into tedium, right now anyone with alot of credos sees a new credo and is like ah fuck 100+ quests. if you set a certain amount based on tier then people might grizzle but it becomes a core mechanic do x to get y and not haha you didn't do farming credos now do 300+ quests to unlock another 150 quests.

Yes there's a discussion to be had and this is it. Credos have a difficulty atm based on what requirements they have to unlock them but making them variable is a bad way to implement difficulty. Maybe if enough people post and help convince them that 150+ quests is stupid to learn fisherman or nomad they can change it, this would be maybe an hours work.

I would ask though when this idea is put in that each credo also gets a ultimate quest at the end that has like 10 items you need to complete.

Oh and 1 final thing, it reduces the temptation of suicide credo characters sine you have a set path that isn't a herculean task to complete.

Totally agree and have done when suggested before, tier based implementation makes the most logical sense, it is ridiculous to have to complete so many quests, multiple quests inside numerous quests, which turn a fun mechanic into one no-one wants to repeat in the future!
