New Carpentry Booster

I'm going to try and come up with an idea a week for 2019, so lets see how that goes. First up, there's only a single piece of equipment in the game right now that boosts Carpentry (the Beaver Cap), so how about another. A wooden ring is a pretty dull suggestion, so howabout instead a

Woodworker's Loupe. Equips in the 1R slot, gives some Carpentry and maybe a smaller amount of Dexterity. As an added bonus, with it equipped, whenever you examine a structure with variable materials, you'll be told the types of wood used in its construction.

carpenter would be a neat credo

maybe you have to build a bunch of furniture

make carpentry artifacts

study oak spires and barkboats

bring certain blocks of wood to quest rocks

with rewards including increased board yield/q, increased carpentry/dexterity, etc, and some unique final reward like being able to make glue from more easily accessible pine sap.
obviously would depend on lumberjacking, and maybe either farmer or quarryman?

+1 for the Loupe. Would be nice to id variable mats! Also +1 for the Carpenter's Credo. Forager --> Farmer --> Lumberjack --> Carpenter. :P

Quality already rises way too fast, no more boosts to that please.

The world of haven in-game is 2400 days old, which gives less than 1 point of Q to boards. It gives ~+0,82Q point per haven day. Real-time it is ~+2,4Q point per day. It's not much so I would enjoy this quality boost ,especially after the metal industry might get slowed down with Q in future (or not).
