Apocalypse event shortly before world resets

Postby Ants » Thu Jan 10, 2019 8:50 pm

What if shortly before world resets all hell broke loose and survival became difficult? Animals would become more plentiful and extra vicious, resources would become more scarce and dungeon monsters would run around in the wild. River would run red with blood.

The event could be triggered in Valhalla, too, so that people who enjoy it can mess around with it even when the world isn't almost ending.

Putting events in valhalla is a bit unnecessary, it's a good place to have some fun and testing out combat but map is to small imho to put any events like this.

Hordes of boars that bash thru palisades to get to villagers that wander to close to their double the normal agro range and maim anything that gets in their path...Eagles that land on rooftops and stare at players until they start to run then dive in for the attack... Bats! And rats!! OMG

The dead (includes animal corpses) raise from the graves and start to attack everything living, lone skulls hop out of the cupboards/display cases/skill thrones in search for their bodies. The dead are getting stronger by the minute so at some point they'll be able to break walls and buildings. As they don't need to breathe they can march through deep water (to make pathfinding easy). The freshly fallen joining the ranks of the undead after a RL hour.

All existing characters get logged in (as if they would be under a criminal debuff) when this starts to give the horde something to eat, Teleportation ceases to function to keep characters from escaping. Healing items lose their effectiveness rapidly, wounds fester faster.
Last character living gets a unique decorative item (transfers to the next world, so he has something to brag with).
