Fix docks before adding oceans

Docks are A+ 10/10 in functionality, but the costs vs how easy they are to be destroyed does not balance out.

In the new world boating and docks are going to be much more important, and docks will also be seen much more often. The issue is that they can be bashed by hand.
The dock itself is almost the same cost as a knarr and yet the dock can be hand bashed but the knarr can not.

Please make docks destroyable with siege equipment, but not by hand.

I'm not sure if it's a thing or not, but setting a minimum spacing of 4-5 tiles between docks could help to prevent unintended walling on lakes and rivers.

I think the problem is that docks could then be used to completely block off rivers. For that reason I wouldnt be against having docks not being solid objects
also this might kind of be a totally separate idea but adding the ability to “extend” them like fences to make long, branching docks would be very pleasing to the eye

I addressed the walling issue in the OP

Can't make a dock within 4-5 tiles of another dock. There's another issue with people blocking waterways with knarrs, but that is just as much an issue today as it would be with this change to docks

meh knarrs drift that wouldnt be much of a problem

I also think there are small enough rivers though that it might just be better to have docks be non-solid objects at least until object-controlled objects allow them to be walked on

It definitely opens questions of what to do with possible walling via overextending. And will require the ability to walk on docks to make extended parts useful at all. But, still, would be so awesome to have!
