Attribute and Ability!

Keeping in mind that there will be an improvement in the food system. I propose the following:

- The attributes have no limit.
- Attributes are the cap of the abilities.
- Every 2 points of attributes you have 1 point of ability.
- The attribute points can be different depending on the ability.
- All abilities start at 1, and cost: (100LP*(currentlevel+1). <-(WITHOUT CHANGES)

Example: 100 Point of Unarmed Combat (needs) -> 125 Strength (100*1.25) - 75 Agility (100*0.75)

1 Point of Unarmed Combat (needs) -> 1.25 Strength - 0.75 Agility
1 Point of Melee Combat (needs) -> 1 Strength- 1 Constitution
1 Point of Marksmanship (needs) -> 1 Agility - 1 Perception
1 Point of Exploration (needs) -> 1 Perception - 0.5 Agility- 0.5 Will
1 Point of Stealth (needs) -> 1 Perception - 0.25 Intelligence - 0.75 Agility
1 Point of Sewing (needs) -> 1.25 Dexterity - 0.75 Intelligence
1 Point of Smithing (needs) -> 1 Strength - 0.5 Will - 0.5 Psyche
1 Point of Mansonry (needs) -> 1 Dexterity - 1 Strength
1 Point of Carpentry (needs) -> 0.75 Strength- 0.75 Dexterity - 0.5 Intelligence
1 Point of Cooking (needs) -> 0.75 Psyche - 0.75 Intelligence - 0.5 Will
1 Point of Farming (needs) -> 0.75 Intelligence - 0.75 Psyche - 0.5 Perception
1 Point of Survival (needs) -> 0.5 Strength - 0.5 Agility - 0.5 Constitution - 0.5 Perception
1 Point of Lore (needs) -> 0.75 Psyche - 0.5 Dexterity - 0.75 Will

Charisma would not enter with the abilities. :?:

With this change, I think the progress of the game would be more gradual.

If I understand You correctly, it would doom all peaceful farmers and non-combat players to suffer for not being able to rise UA or MC, if they won't go strenght / agi.

Basically, the proposal is to remove abilities at all, as the end result would be about the same as if we calculate everything from attributes directly. What's next? Single character level instead of attributes?

And I am not sure I see what's the problem proposed to be solved is. I don't think skill points were even near as wild as attributes this world. And with proposed changes to questing LP gain doesn't look the most dangerous area for too fast progress IMHO.

...and eliminate LP as a factor along with curios, exp and huge part of the game.

I never said to eliminate LP as a factor.

The only difference between that and calculating everything from attributes directly is that you still have to raise the LP needed and put it into abilities. Adding chores without adding any flexibility. It just makes abilities secondary and pointless.

I'm not convinced that an user behind an account created 2012 doesn't know the game, post count or not.

His idea might not be the perfect solution, but the general criticism that one can use an arbitrary LP source to scroll up a number which turns a layman into an expert within seconds... sounds reasonable.

I love when people believe themselves better than others because they made more posts. I wish I had a button to ban the hollow people. :lol:

Exactly, it is not perfect. It is an idea that can be improved and polished.

Currently, to earn constant lp you only need a study desk and curiosities. It is a matter of time to have many points without much effort.

This change would force you to increase your skill step by step. (No rush skill up)

I don't think it's a good idea to shun anyone for bringing an idea forth. At the very worst it gets 1 reply and the player learns something, at the best it's something that nobody has thought of before and can be improved upon.
