New texture for golden cloth?

It's expensive to make but it looks a LOT like linen cloth.


What's the point of having something for bragging rights when most people can't tell it's rare?

I agree, add some embroidery to the cloth. Make it look kitschy reach, maybe grotesque and silly, but distinguishable from simple linen.

And please, remember to make paintings have respectable material used cloth instead of whatever You use, it is always looking like linen cloth.
(Dunno if it was fixed, but I remember clearly I was disappointed using silk/anything else to craft a picture and it was still looking like linen)

That's why you'll go and tell them "that's not a fecking linen, it's gold!". Like in real life. At least I don't think I can spot a difference between real diamond and cheap glass from afar (if at all).

I've changed current linen cloth with something I found at google. Here is an example. Note that it will change some other things like ropes on knarr, archery target, well, etc.
Put this resource to a "%client_folder%\res\gfx\terobjs\subst\linencloth.res" if you want to test this texture.

Maybe we could also invent paint mixing to get those millions of colors! Think of all the sketches you will sell!
