Silkfarmer Credo

Postby Adder1234 » Sun Jan 27, 2019 11:31 am

Don't know why we don't have this yet, but we should have a silkfarmer credo, dependent on lumberjack and farmer. The bonuses could be as follows
1. Dexterity and sewing +10
2. Increased number of leaves harvested from mulberry trees
3. Silk worms can survive missing two meals
4. Chance to get three filaments per cocoon unraveled
5. Small quality bonus to unraveling silk cocoons

1. +15
2. I would rather have ability to harvest them quicker into bucket or something :P.
3. OK
4. OK
5. I would rather have quality bonus on future eggs or higher possibility of male/female being equal in numbers (since on frequent basis, I seem to get like 11:1 ot 9:3)

That's the result of them having a 50:50 chance on their gender, leading to the need of bruteforcing them toward the average by hatching as many as possible in parallel... You're either extremely unlucky or doing them on a too small scale.

IMHO quality runaway wouldn't be a good idea.

[quote="Granger"]As for quality runaway, +1 compared to non-credo shouldn't be that much.
Would be a 25% increase in speed (given you can raise your trees fast enough).

Could let you build those cool silkfarming silos that just need you to fill leaves and eggs into them

In fact, this is a trivial attempt to reduce the cost of silk and slightly improve the quality at an early stage, seasoned with minor nuances. Probably, I would prefer cheaper silk in a tailor's credo.
Excuse me, I don't speak English.
