What if when people passed a certain stat range in one of the combat stats (agi, str, ua, mm, mc, or perc, maybe con too) and say the limit was 1000 as an example their characters could no longer port to hearth on ko and they would risk dying (aggro also wouldnt drop when koed). It's only relevant to top pvpers who want the stat advantage to remain competitive in PVP, if they don't opt into potentially dying they wont be able to compete in PVP. So for PVPERS death would remain a thing. However, for the newer players they could still port to hearth and the game would still remain not as brutal for people who are new. I guess people could argue that you could raise your stats to 999 and fight without risking being killed, but once you try and fight people who bothered raising to say 3000 you will be useless against them. Seems to me like a good way to bring death back into high level pvp. I guess the main problem is choosing how to set the limit.

Main cheesey thing with it is that people would stockpile food and lp right before the stat cap, and spend it all when they feel like it. But it's way better than the rage thing, because people running around waiting to get aggro'd in group fights is retarded.

Also an arbitrary number is kinda dumb, but whatever.

well i still prefer this idea over grangers because of the alt thing suggested below as that guy said and it also seems lame that someone with like 10 stats less than 1 guy wouldnt get killed and the guy with 10 stats more would if they fall on the 15% edge. but ya the general idea of grangers is the same as this 1 and i like it at least hehe

Giving back sliders for combat/peaceful was a good idea discussed on discord tbh.

If UA,MC and maybe CON/AGI (not sure about this one) would be the only factor deciding about top 15% then yes. Since I believe some crafters might pass CON/AGI (because of oscypki for psyche as an example) and make the top 15% warrior proficiency status a little bit artificial.

But generaly Granger, I like that!

If the enemy is weaker - turned it on, and if it is stronger - turned it off? You either want PvP or you don't. The choice should be one, not 15 times per hour.

as a filthy casual peaceful hermit, i support the idea of only getting K.O. below lets say 300 or something UA/melee/agi or whatever. it lets you do your thing whenever you log in once or twice a week, you can learn the game if you ever decide to change playstyles, and it keeps you irrelevant in combat, people can still steal your shit if its good Q or they feel like busting your balls.
its the best solution for everyone i think, pvp dudes can show how big their dick is, and pve dudes don't lose their character and can lay low until the storm blows over and rebuild after.

what i mean is less keep the treshold low, like idk be able to kill most of the animals (maybe not troll or mammoth), so people can experience the game and over that its free for all.
