We can already increase the quality of worms and leeches, but what about all the small creatures and insects we have now?
Would be cool to be able to increase the quality of frogs, toads and lizards in terrariums. Maybe even hatch the frog spawn and get rare or interesting other types of frogs. Just a small enclosure made with glass, maybe 1x2 that we can fill with some kind of feed and water.
We also have so many insects now too. Would be very cool to have a dedicated enclosure for them as well. Maybe we shouoldn't be breeding our silk months in our cupboards but rather in a specialized container like a terrarium that also allows for ALL sorts of insects to be bred. I see no reason why we shouoldn't be able to breed and raise the quality of these curios like potted plants or chickens.
Cave Centipede, Cave Moth, Dragonfly, Firefly, Grasshopper, Grub, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Ladybug, Monarch Butterfly, Silkmoth, Stag Beetle, Waterstrider
These could all be bred in terrariums or small specialized enclosures, maybe only certain insects should be allowed to be in the same enclosures if any mixing is allowed at all. Some insects can eat leaves and plant matter, some can eat entrails or perhaps the aphid and larval stages of other bred insects. (Maybe we can catch midges as feed?). Things like spiders can rarely produce their webs, maybe the more valuable insects take much longer to breed.
Crab, Frog, Frogspawn, Toad, Forest Lizard, Forest Snails, Stalagoomba???, Mussels????, Snakes???
These could be all bred in terrarium or slightly larger enclosures, obviously with little or no mixing as well. Maybe we could have more varieties of frogs, toads and lizards to flesh it out a bit. I think these would all mostly eat the insects, making the entire breeding system sort of a two-tier system. Perhaps some insects that breed faster or are more useless will ultimately be used mostly for feed for the reptiles and amphibians. These could produce their respective spawns, discarded tails, skins and other interesting things.
Also, without going in to great detail a similar process could be considered for small mammals like rats, moles, squirrels and all the new birds.
Also, also, as it has been requested many times, fish.
