So we have a new world coming in with oceans, and I couldn't be more excited! Risky travel, locality, geographically and exhaustion limited fast travel, piracy! How excit...

No piracy you say? What do you mean Knarrs can sail to trade ports empty and teleport home full of cargo? What good is that I say?

Knarrs should not be able to teleport with cargo. I would settle for 'can not cross oceans with teleport when full of cargo' but I really would just rather see it 'at all with cargo'. Piracy and high sea hunting of other players isn't going to be a thing if there's no prize outside of ganking involved. (at least, for those looking for a prize for their assault, anyway).

So remove this ability from Knarr's so that you can still take raiding parties and teleport home with their inventories, but you can teleport home with a Knarr full of goods.

can't you just bundle this fun-killing change in with the rest of your "remove teleportation" suggestions you and your green twin brother littered this forum with?

if i built a rather expensive knarr dock and only got the benefit of teleporting with it when it was empty i'd be so fucking bitter i'd never build one again.

also you should only be able to teleport to hearth fires when you're naked and carrying nothing in your inventory +1

Docks should be the one place that your cargo is safe, provided that you 'tie Knarr to Dock' when you park it. But I might just say your bitterness adds spice to an already delicious idea.

Devs added travel to dock, because noone used knaars because of boring "moving back". If it would be removed - noone will just use knarrs again. And why the hell you think "Pirate" would seek some random "Trader" in open sea, if he can just wait for all of them at trading port docks?

My thoughts, too... I'm pretty sure abt79 was being completely sarcastic.

Though lunarius has a point with the piracy bit, I think some combat balances and changes need to come first. If I read DDDs post (I think he was the poster) about how combat goes between knarrs, it's completely broken and this is just a bad idea until other things get fixed. Otherwise, this was always one of the great things about EVE: breaking the loot pinata and see what spills out.
