Curios unbalanced

Lots of unbalanced curios with really high mental wights and experience requirements, but with really bad LP gains, when mental weight, xp and duration are taken into account.

Instead of making shit thread, make an effort and say which one and why. (beside I pointed that many times and jorb didn't changed anything)

That.

Well as a few examples:

Firefly, 50xp which is quite a lot, 24 weight which is a lot also. But only 2k lp?
Emerald Dragonfly, 6xp, which is nothing, 2 weight, which is nothing, 800lp, but it is way faster to study, so LP/hour is almost the same as firefly. And they are easy to get, as swamps are filled with them.

Itsy Bitsy Spider is also pretty bad, even though it is an uncommon curio, with study desks there is really no point in curios like itsy bitsy spider. Only good thing for it is that it has long study time, so you don't have to fill your study very often, but with study desks that is now useless property for a curio.

Difficulty to acquire certain curiosities does not correlate with their value.

Go to the wiki, sort the list, remove gems*, anything below about #20 on that remaining list. some exceptions will exist due to increasing qualities, such as straw doll**, and some are good for loading into an alt or if you're knowingly going to be offline for a week or two (say vacation or business trip... or just want a vacation from Haven). Study tables have a limited inventory when it comes to being offline, and the number of truly slow burn curios is limited.

*Gems might actually be a bit OP.
**I think straw doll is just in the top, anyway if you don't account for the size factor. Other examples of higher quality making up for a lack of base values are there, though.

BUMP
Dice
Hand impression
Horrible knot
Petrified seashell
Lamp stalk (they are very risky to pick)
primitive doll
ladys mantle (non dewy version)
list goes on and on
itsy bitsy the spider
itsy bitsy the web
itsy bitsy the new craftable thing
Some metal curios especially

I think one big issue with curios is mental weight. Many curios are really shit and have absurd amount of weight, so you can never fill your study with them before getting like 200 int, and by that time you can already study those few good curios and skip all the crappy ones.

You probably have statistics about how often some curios are picked/studied/crafted. Look at these statistics and buff curios that people never use!

Some curios are really good, like shiny marbles, they are very easy to make, last for long time and LP/hour is very good even if you take the weight into account.
But then there are curios which require much more effort, like tin warriors, but then they suck, when compared to marbles for example.

I don't understand why you added satiations to food, but have not done anything to curios, they still suck! Rework the curio system! Add curio satiations! Anything to make people study more varied things.

One big thing is also that some curios take a lot of space from your study table, so people who autostudy/bot will still get massive advantage. Because these short duration curios are often way better than long duration.

If we didn't have bad curios we wouldn't have good curios.

I'd be in favour of slashing mental weight across all curios for ease of access as well as improving "bad" curios for being too heavy. Say 10% to 20%.
