Add to yarrow description?

Postby Ants » Wed Feb 06, 2019 7:13 am

I accidentally killed myself because nothing in the text indicated that applying yarrow on my wounds would reduce my constitution.

Some other medicines might have a similar issue.

yeah I could see how this could be an issue.

Food tells us what FEP's well get from eating it. This system should also be applied to other consumables as well.

Myeah. Hmm.

Ideally, maybe you should just not be able to kill yourself when healing wounds.
That just seems kind of, counter-intuitive.

lol, idk about that, bruh. Isn't that the history of most medicine? Qin Shi Huang drinking mercury elixirs, snake oil salesmen, blood-letting, and all manner of rat poisons peddled as panaceas? Modern day statins, birth control pills, &c, come to mind.

So you're saying that I'm more likely to survive being Gored then having some sort of minor cut.
Because, as far as I know, the treatment for Wretched Gore is just a Stitch Patch which only lowers CHA, AGI, and PER.

The only time you touch Con for treatment is when it comes to Yarrow.

That is just counter-intuitive to the entire current system. All you are doing is punishing new players who do now know any better.

As I said before, at the end of the day, this is just a game. We could definitely do with a bit more fun and reasonable systems instead of nerfing everything into the ground.

Man, idk if any wounds should debuff con. It's just a really shitty way to die by "losing" 1 point of con.

Either have no wounds and medicines debuff con or make con debuff lower total hp without touching current hp

Pretty sure several of us have said the same thing in the past. This isn't the first time such things have come up, and not necessarily related to wounds, either.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Keep the mechanics consistent imo. Keep it with HHP wounds so it's easily visible to players (at least if they've used it once and looked). Adding "this might sting a little" to the description would put enough of a fine print disclaimer ¦]
