Stumps should decompose, right?

Lot of ugly stumps left behind!

Instead stump should grow into double tree, like hydra.

That said, mirkwood stumps should spawn early game items like in Salem. Beetles and grubs and shit. Maybe magpies could add stolen items to a nearby stump.

Seems like this came up the first time we saw mirkwood world 8... viewtopic.php?f=48&t=51388&p=679965&hilit=mirkwood+spawn#p679937

It was a solid idea in Salem, and it remains a solid idea. :P

It was definitely a fun little treasure hunt, but seems like almost always small treasures, and a lot of hunting for the few found.

I envision it more as kind of a trickle of small treats for early players. Not really something you actively go out and hustle, but glancing into a mirkwood stump as you walk to a questgiver could result in some early FEPs, a single dragonfly-tier curio, etc.
