Cauldrons Are Fundamentally Broken

Why can't I light a torch off a lit cauldron. There is fire blaring out from all sides of that thing.

You could make that argument for almost any lightable object in game. But it's not fundamentally breaking the game.

i was about to comment how it dosent matetr, even if you are correct (which you are), then i realized that i dont enjoy having a dozen fires all over my base just because theres only 1 object in the game i can light a fire off, even though ive got(not yet, but will) several dozen things running fires at all times. it wouldnt be so bad if a firebrand didnt last anywhere from 0.1 seconds-30+ at complete random (usually closer to the 0.1-1 second range too), but i personall wouldnt mind seeing cauldrons and other FLAME BEARING ITEMS actually be capable of spreading the flames they clearly have plenty of.

I didn't say it was fundamentally breaking the game, please stay on topic. I said that cauldrons were fundamentally broken.

It will be nice if I can light torch from any thing that has the fires.

A cauldron could be a fireplace add-on, just like gridirons. Fireplace and fireplace accessories, just for consistency. Not sure what about braziers

+1

It never made sense to me that I could put out the fire underneath a cauldron (and strangely get rid of all the combustible material under it) just by lifting it.

You are much loved! Love in return!
