quest giver protection

A lot of quest trees/rock are griefed.
Most trees being griefed are by people spawning in random alts and destroying the first quest maker they get.
it would be nice to put an item on the tree that would semi help prevent it.

2 idea's

Skill: Lore of the land.
5k skill. locked behind hearth magic.

Talisman:rope + parchment.
when attached to tree/rock it will take 2k LP. no upkeep.
it would take vandalize to chop down the tree.
chopping/chipping the binding quest keeper would result in 30 days of scent that anyone can send nidbanes to.

when attached to tree/rock it will take 2k LP. with upkeep.
the talisman gives a radius of protection like a claim, but can not be made bigger.
to destroy the tree you need to destroy the shrine gates.

a shrine can be built up using special resources. Normal builds can not be built around tree and will rapidly decay if already placed.
-Shrine gate: has no doors but apply visitors buff on anyone who enters the claim, a siege weapon would be needed.
-Shrine rock pillar: apply a small buff to gilds giving 1 extra stat.
-Alter: People may donate at a alter to keep the upkeep up.
-Rope braids: Apply a 1% buff to rewards.

I mean, just locking these trees behind a vandalism skill would work perfectly for that. (just make it so that the griefers leave scents)

Jorb has already expressed that he did not care for such an idea.
noobs will cut down trees by "accident".

a more "don't fk with this tree" would be nice.

I'm one of those people who might just start making alts to kill all quest givers till a system is made to better protect them. ¦]

We had one guy like that, he eventually got bored as there is no point in trying to fight something that is endless.

Make it impossible to destroy rocks, trees or stumps that are quest givers.
Only way to destroy them is to cast some hearth magic first, which costs like 5k experience points, causing it to turn to normal rock or tree.

You could still destroy them if you want. But you cannot just run around and chop every single quest giving tree.
